Insurance company GMAC released today the results of its annual poll examining drivers in all 50 states and Washington D.C., on questions used in Department of Motor Vehicle exams.

New York State finished dead last, with an average test score of 70.5.

Idaho and Wisconsin tied for the best scores at 80.6, followed by Montana, Kansas, South Dakota and Nebraska.

Ahead of New York, but still in the bottom five states, are New Jersey, Hawaii, California and Georgia.
