Jerusalem - The driver of the bus that struck and killed a three year old Monsey boy on Monday afternoon in Beitar Illit has had his license suspended for 30 days.

The unnamed driver was released by police to his home under restrictive conditions as they continue their investigation into the accident which took place on Rechov Hachozeh M’Lublin.

As previously reported on VIN News (http://bit.ly/2UzAZvN), the Eisenberg family, residents of the Chestnut Ridge section of Monsey, had come to Israel for Pesach and to give their three year old son Baruch his first haircut, with the little boy darting out into the street for reasons unknown.

Arutz Sheva (http://bit.ly/2UwiM2o) reported that there was not a dry eye in the room as Shloime Eisenberg eulogized his only son, who he had planned to take to cheder wrapped in a tallis now that his hair had finally been cut.  Eisenberg shared that Baruch was the first child in the family to bear the name of his late father.

“You were the first one named for him and you will be the first one to meet him up above,” said Shloime Eisenberg.  “Pray with him for the family.”

Eisenberg spoke of how his father would always say that everything that happens in this world occurs for a good reason.

“When I saw the accident in front of my eyes, I knew that even praying wouldn’t help and I just repeated to myself over and over again, ‘whatever happens, happens for the good,’” said Eisenberg.

Baruch Eisenberg was laid to rest on Monday night on Har Hamenuchos in Jerusalem.

I do not understand that if the kid ran into the street on some impulse, why is the bus driver punished?

Has the mother been released to her home on restrictive conditions? Was she the negligent one? The driver has been traumatized by this enough; why persecute him more if he didn't drink or drug, wasn't underslept or negligent?

My goodness, publishing the photo of that tiny child in his shroud seems to be in very poor taste.
