Ismail Haniyeh said in a statement late Sunday that the militant group is ready to “return to the state of calm” if Israel stops its attacks “and immediately starts implementing understandings about a dignified life.”

Israel and Hamas have fought three wars since the Islamic militant group seized control of Gaza from Western-backed Palestinian forces in 2007. Recent rounds of fighting, however, have ended relatively quickly with informal truces brokered by Egypt and the U.N.

In the past, Hamas has halted attacks in return for the easing of an Egyptian and Israeli blockade imposed on Gaza.

Let’s see Hamas stop their rocket fire first, plus all other versions of terror and violence. Yes, balloons is called terror. Hamas stops first. Israel will stop when it believes the infrastructure has been eliminated. NO negotiations.

Hamas doesnt want a new war, just continuous jihad, religious war according to their Quran, rightfully justified by their belief in driving the infidels, and pigs in to the sea, thereby, attacking man, woman, and child considered as the infidel.
As long as their Quran is their belief, their Jihad will never cease, unless Israel takes action following their good friend Xi Jinpings, president of Chinas lead, by confiscating the old original edition of Quran and destroying them, and republishing a user friendly government edition, and anyone caught with the old edition, goes to reeducation camps in the northwest of china to join two million other campers, who require therapy. China didnt like the author of the Quran due to his rhetoric, so they made a law prohibiting anyone in china to name their child Muhammad. As soon as Israel takes these necessary steps, by first going in to Gaza, with the aid of 100000 chinese troops, holding 24 hour teudat zayhuts thus enabling them to join the Israeli armed forces, clearing out all the weapons, confiscating, and republishing the qurans, setting up reeducation camps for those in need, unless these steps are taken, the hamas and Islamic jihad will follow the teachings of their Quran prescribed above. If china wants to protect its billions of dollars worth of investments in israel, now is the time to send in their troops to clean out Gaza, before missles fall on the chinese owned port of Haifa, and tenuva factories located all over israel.

Hardly matters what the leaders of the two sides want. Each side has radical elements that will provoke war when it serves their purposes. A leader trying to make peace will be killed by his own side. No leader is willing to take a risk for peace.

I do not think they want to fight this month since Ramadan begins today! Maybe next month!
