Technion dean Moshe Shpitalni sent a letter of reprimand to the student, Ayal Rosenberg, a far-left activist.

Shpitalni said he was not interested in Rosenberg’s personal views, “But there are clear social codes as to how to act in such settings.”

He instructed Rosenberg not to come to an upcoming graduation ceremony for master’s degree students. Rosenberg declined to respond.

I wonder what Technion’s response would have been if the student was an Arab?

I don’t hold a two year old to the same standard of conduct as a ten year old. Expectations of human behavior have to be reasonable. It isn’t reasonable to expect an Arab to demonstrate the social grace we exepct of a Jew. Like a two year old, they lack the capacity for it. Before anyone accuses me of racism, I don’t expect those social graces from chareidim either. They too seem incapable of them.

sing the palestinian national anthem and watch that lowlife ‘activist’ jump up in respect.
these nauseating left-wingers will never learn until an arab murderer has a knife at their neck ch”v.
actually, even then they’ll still be mumbling ‘bush’s and netanyahu’s fault’

Is it possible that “shalash shavuous” is only that you should not come from chutz l’aretz and take eretz Yisroel by force. But once there are Yidden living in eretz Yisroel, as it was in 1948, then it becomes a matter of pikuach nefesh, as to who is ruling you. If you are in control your life is protected, but if ch”v the others would have been in control then the life of every yid in eretz Yisroel would have been in danger. pikuach nefesh mamash!!

This story is very painful. How many self hating jews we are are going to have among us? How much more pain do we need to absorb. If one thinks about what we went through to have a right to hear this anthem in our own country even to have a bit of hope, how many people died and continue dying for being Jewish.

What a twisted mind this student should have (even if disagrees with some of the issues) not to respect, even hate his own country.
Every time I hear HAtikva my eyes I filled with tears. These are tears of pride and pain.

As Yoni Nataniyahu said in his letters that despite his strong will his heart was filled with profound sadness of our endless road of senseless but necessary fight.

My heart is filled with such sadness because I do not know how to even deal with some of our own.

For crying out loud… social norms are expected here. The same way that we expect foreign dignitaries to stand… the same way our leaders stand even in Arab countries… You show proper respect within the confines of halacha. If the program at the school was to stand for it, he should stand whether he agrees or not…. if not, this guy should have been removed from the ceremony.
