Israel – Resuming peace talks between Syria and Israel would be “useless” without a commitment by the Jewish state to withdraw from the Golan Heights, Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Moualem said.

Responding cautiously to an Israeli offer to open the talks without preconditions, Moualem reiterated Syria’s calls for an Israeli commitment to restore the Golan and described it as “not a pre-condition, but a requirement for peace”.
If it means getting a peace treat with Syria, then even the Golan should be negotiable. Some portions are clearly strategic but there are probably parts of the golan which are expendable if it means a long term peace treaty.
How about stop supporting terrorism is a requirement for peace?
screw them. all these peace negotiations only costs the israelis anyhow
Its time to leave all these terrorist countrys alone, and go on with life
#’s 5 and 4 are both naive.the change that will work ,with Hashem’s help,is to stop GIVING to the arabs and to start showing consistent strength and resolve that this is our G-D given land and we know it!
The rebbe’s prohibition against giving up any portion of EY to the arabs doesn’t apply to the golan; only judia and samaria.
The golan is a very important part of israel we can’t afford to loose it (all the good wine we have from there)
You lose a war, you lose and syria lost big. There are no backsies. Lost is lost. It now belongs to me, you, our children and our nation. Done and over.
after the Golan then they would go after other sections of Israel, piece by piece until we are left with NOTHING!!! Didn’t we just give up Gush Katif? We should not give up anything else, the arab countries don’t even know the meaning of peace. It’s all talk, so when Israel says No, we can look like th bad guys. It’s time for us to toughen up.
peace talks with syira is useless only if they give us more land. we have giving enough of what is ours let them give for once.
Syria only has power in the region because of Hamas and Hezballah… if we wipe them out, Syria will shrink to nothing as a threat. We need to once and for all invade Gaza and southern Lebanon and kill all the terrorists as quickly as possible. All of these “little” battles just bring worldwide condemnation anyway. As they say “In for a dime… in for a dollar”. We should go at them with everything we’ve got until there is little to nothing left of them. Then we should help those that wish to have peace build a future for themselves. WE need to be the ones who come in with the money and help build the infrastructure when all is said and done. If we are the first to help, there will be no need for another terrorist group with money to come in and take over.
Tell Syria they can stick their pre-conditions “you know where”.
