State officials said Friday the errors stemmed from the mislabeling of blood samples from six patients who were treated by outpatient clinics at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center.

Hospital spokesman Erroll Schneer says the hospital believes the errors were “isolated incidents.”

But Schneer says the hospital will retest as many as 920 patients who had been tested between April and December 2008 just to be safe.

State Health Department spokeswoman Claire Pospisil says officials are looking into whether the errors caused any patients to receive the wrong diagnosis or medication.

and who do you think will pay for this the hospital? at all not they will bill the insurance companies and it will come out of your hard earned money from your taxes, or your health insurance will go up. when will agencies take responsibility from their own mistakes?
