Washington – President Donald Trump says the U.S. was “cocked and loaded” to retaliate against Iran for downing an American drone, but canceled the strikes 10 minutes before they were to be carried out after being told some 150 people could die.

Trump tweeted Friday that the U.S. was ready to “retaliate last night on 3 different sights when I asked, how many will die.” He said a general told him 150 people, and he canceled the strikes as “not proportionate to shooting down an unmanned drone.”
Trump tweeted that the U.S. will never allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon. But he says he’s in no hurry to respond to the downing of the U.S. surveillance drone over the Strait of Hormuz.
He says U.S. sanctions are crippling the Iranian economy and that more are being added.

I believe that the drone may have been over Iran; otherwise, the death of 150 Iranian soldiers would not have stopped the retaliatory attack.
If Trump launched an attack, and hundreds of Iranian military and civilians were killed, the left would have had Trump’s head on a platter. However, because Trump has shown restraint, and not attacked, now they are criticizing him as “weak”. One just cannot win with the fake news, as well as some idiots on the right, who are calling for an attack. 18 years almost, we’ve been in Afghanistan, not to mention the War in Iraq from 2003-2011. Some people are not happy unless there are shooting wars.
To #4 and #5 -If the two of you are so gung ho about war with Iran, why don’t you go down to the nearest military recruiting station, and enlist, and request combat duty. However, the two of you probably have such big pippicks, that you probably wouldn’t quality.
