I am collecting for my mother in law who just lost her husband, R’ Yitzchok Siegel. He was a big tzaddik and a big Anav never spoke ill of anyone he had sterling middos just a good person through and through. Unfortunately he always had it very difficult with parnasah so he didnt leave over any money for his wife (my mother in-Law). The money im trying to collect will be used to pay for his burial and to help her out at the outset until we figure out a long term solution.
This is a reminder to all jews to have life insurance. Not only to cover costs of funeral, burial and support for widow but also to have money available to publish the niftars’ seforim. We all have chidushim that we write during our lives and all klall yisroel can benefit from learning them but without extra money to publish them they will eventually become lost. That is the biggest tragedy. I read in the book about Rav Shach that he advised people to publish their work in their lifetime because then it would get done according to the way the author wants it to be done. Another reason is basic finance. Who says there will be money to do it later.
