Ehud Barak, who has made a political comeback ahead of September’s elections, said Tuesday in an Israel Radio interview that “there is no place for protesters to be killed by their country’s security forces.”
Barak was responding to an op-ed written by a parliament member from the left-wing Meretz party who called on him to apologize for the October 2000 killings, which came in the opening weeks of the second Palestinian uprising, when he was serving as prime minister.
Barak’s campaign hinges on uniting liberal parties in a bid to oust Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s longest-serving prime minister.
Typical leftist, apology tour …
I remember when that occurred; the Israeli cops at that time, were extremely trigger happy. Fortunately, their tactics have changed.
What is in the Israeli water that every politician turns nuts. Remember Sharon who at the end of his life turned left wing. This guy lost it, just look at his beard and now he apologises for Arabs that started an intifada that took over 1,000 Jewish lives. Now he says”sorry for fighting back”. Barak – climb back under the covers.
Apologizes? And all will go away?! Murderers! The Arabs killed then oribbly “deserved” and the people demanding justice then were ostracized but Barak is apologizing 20 yrs later. What a typical zionist thug!
I guess Barak is looking for a coalition with the 13 Arab Knesset members.
This guy is the epitome of a lowlife. His term as PM was completely unimpressive, at best. Now he has the audacity, not only to show his ugly face but to apologise for some choleras that most likely deserved their due.
This nincompoop, if ever elected, G-D forbid, will cause the begining of the end for the State of Israel, as we know it today !!!
