Mcallen, TX - House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says she sees comprehensive immigration reform not only as Congress’ official work but also as its moral responsibility as she finishes up a tour of Central America.

Pelosi traveled with a congressional delegation to explore the causes of immigration and possible solutions. The group visited Guatemala and El Salvador, along with migrant detention facilities in McAllen, Texas.

The Democratic speaker said Sunday in Texas that she made the trip because she wanted to ensure that the U.S. effectively honors the dignity of the immigrants who enter its borders.

The Trump administration is trying to restrict applications for asylum in the U.S. from Central America by requiring migrants to apply in Guatemala rather than at the U.S. border.

Yes, Nancy, immigration reform is critical. Now, stop your DemocRats in the House from their myriad of investigations, and put them to work on immigration bills that are reasonable. Become part of the solution, not part of the problem.

What happened during the first two years of the presidency. The republicans had both houses of Congress and the White House and 5 judges on the Supreme Court.

Nada

So Nancy is worried about the many polls showing Americans want immigration tightened...sorry Nancy, everyone knows you and your liberal cohorts want open borders, not because you’re so worried about the “dignity” of illegal aliens (yes illegal aliens, not undocumented migrants!) but only because you want their votes to go democrat. You have refused every attempt and overture the president has made towards you, all the offers for compromise, just because you think this issue benefits you politically. Well more than half of this country is intelligent and see right through your disingenuous shenanigans. And you will pay at the polls. Trump 2020.

No, but how about the Republican Party follow through on its platform. It bellyached about immigration reform not happening under Obama and then took over and laid an egg.

Doesn't help when you have a much larger network of Obama appointed activist judges in Hawaii blocking everything purely for the sake o obstruction.

See, the Constitution doesn’t say that Congress May impeach an “immoral” president. It requires “high crimes or misdemeanors,” of which Trump is innocent, despite all attempts to manufacture evidence of such.

Oh, and I should add: isn’t it immoral to stand in front of the American people and say a blatant lie, “If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor”? Did you call for impeachment over that? If not, why not?

They don't have a moral obligation to abide by the Constitution.

I hate the Obamas, the Clintons and the Trumps. In fact, Trump and Clinton used to be all buddy-buddy before they opposed each other politically.
