New York – Hamaspik of Orange County Gets State Funds

    New York – State Senator John Bonacic of Mt. Hope, chairman of the Senate Housing, construction and Community Development Committee, announced that $600,000 in state aid has been made available through the state’s Access to Homes program to Provider Hamaspik of Orange County, Rural Ulster Preservation Company in Ulster County and Rural Sullivan Housing Corporation in Sullivan County.

    “Persons with disabilities must overcome tremendous challengers that others often take for granted, even simple tasks such as the ability to reside in one’s own home,” Bonacic said. “This funding is critical to cover the costs of making housing units accessible to disabled individuals.”

    Each agency will receive $200,000.
