Jerusalem – New York City Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly visited the Kotel this afternoon (Wednesday) accompanied by Knesset Member Shaul Mofaz and Malcolm Hoenlein, executive vice chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations. They were received at the Kosel by HaRav Shmuel Rabinovitz, the chief rabbi of the Western Wall and holy sites.

Kelly toured the Western Wall Plaza and the Western Wall Tunnels. In addition to seeing an archeological dig and learning about the roots of the Jewish people, Kelly assessed the security measures in place at the Kosel and throughout the Old City.
Mofaz told him about the complexity of life in the Old City as well as explaining the importance of the area to the Jewish people and its deep connection to Jerusalem.
The NYPD commissioner then toured the Mabat 2000 project, a complex network of some 60 surveillance cameras installed in different parts of the Old City and coordinated by a monitoring center.

Notice: that he is using a black YAMIKAH day time a white YAMIKAH at night… a real Hassid!
Aw shucks! I was hoping they would place a NaNach kapul on him.
Kelly is a good guy and it is nice he is visiting Israel. Who is paying? Will ISrael gain anything from his visit? And why take him to the kosel?
# 3 I am sure there are lot’s of things the NYPD can learn from Israel’s security system and vice versa..
Kelly looks good in that black yarmulke. I wish i could say the same about that white one.
Perhaps we can bring him into our fold, with the black one, of course.
