In December Mrs Livni cancelled a trip to Britain after Westminster magistrates’ court issued a warrant seeking her arrest in connection with alleged war crimes relating to Israel’s Gaza offensive.

Hamas, the Palestinian group which is considered a terrorist organisation by Britain, was believed to have helped British lawyers secure the arrest warrant against Mrs Livni.

It sparked a diplomatic row and Gordon Brown, the Prime Minister, expressed his regret over the incident saying that Mrs Livni was “most welcome in Britain any time”.

The British government also said it would look at universal jurisdiction legislation and review how warrants were issued.

Mrs Livni told the Jewish Chronicle: “I will do this not for me, not for provocation, but for the right of every Israeli to travel freely.”

The British system was “being abused by extremists for political reasons,” she added.

“My intention is not to stay in Israel for ever. I don’t think as a decision-maker, who made decisions against terror, that I should plan never to leave Israel. The British fight terror, too. They do not remain in Britain. They travel,” she said.

The Israeli opposition leader said she was considering a number of invitations but did not confirm when she would make the trip.

The Foreign Office has said that there have been delays in agreeing to changes to universal jurisdiction legislation which was initially given a deadline of February 23.

While I am against the idea of universal jurisdiction, as an Israeli citizen It would not hurt my feelings if she were arrested and kept out of here for a while. Maybe we should send Barak and then we could end this stupid construction freeze.

Livni has no Jewish pride. My wife has wanted to go to London for the past five years and I refuse to go because of their anti-Jewish attitude. I was disgusted by their anti-semetic Mayor and their anti-semetic government. Remember the foreign minister who had a mental break down ranting and raving at a gym about how he hated Jews? Oh, and Britain will not sell any military repair parts to Israel anymore because of the Lebanon and Gaza wars. The will not allow Israel to defend itself against rockets fired by Hezbolah or Hamas. I can’t forget these acts of war against the Jewish People. Then they ban Michael Savage for no reason other than he is a conservative Jew. No other American conservatives are banned there. So I won’t set foot there. Britain is anti-semetic by Government policy.

Let’s Wake Up! Officials play roles. After decades of the same status quo in Israel we should realize it doesn’t matter what platform officials present. These things are foregone conclusions but I wouldn’t call them stage. For pete’s sake America has a President, formerly unknown, with an Arab name, a very distinct and familiar Arab name. Get it?

Beyond that: Alot of these comments are fake. Spammers are pretending to be Jewish so they can make Jews and Israelis look like idiots. It’s a form of antagonism and misdirection for the readers.

If they start arresting her, it sure would make publicity. It’s unlikeluy that too much harm would come of it, and there is more likelihood for gain.
However, Livni does not care if she will eat treif, or not be able to go to the mikva (actually, being a woman, that’s OK), or needs to break shabbos. It is THIS which does not make her a hero with guts, in my eyes.
