This is not the first time in which an irresponsible finger in Bney Brak or Tel Aviv determines fates in Tokyo or Beijing, and all in the name of His Majesty prying and curiosity, which also in cases with no harm, it’s a disgrace for us.

The world has become a global village and everybody is exposed to everything. Such publications find their way very quickly to undesirable eyes and the damage is very great. In my opinion, a horrible demon has gained control on the haredi street in the past few years, the demon of “nayes” which has brought down many victims. You can find him at every time, every hour and every place. Between Minche and Ma’ariv, in Shabbos meals and even in Bouruch she’omar.

A Jew cannot take out 20 shekel from an ATM without having ten sites publish his pictures, including a response from the manager of the branch and a wide-scale description of the widow and orphans. This is a phenomenon which must be uprooted, and the last story has proved this in an unfortunate fashion.

Once there was still some benefit from this: Jews would at least come to the Mikveh in order to hear nayes. Today even this no longer exists. You receive all the filth straight to your computer…

There is talk all the time about the educational harm of the Internet. Not less important is to warn from the dangerous addiction to the yetzer horo of curiosity which is low and destructive. The entire time one must “know what is happening”. Since when has this become a value?

What does tzivin propose.. a media and information black out and a continuation of the ‘sweep it under the rug’ policy? Is this a joke? Folks, this is 2010, the age of the internet. Get with the program! If you do the crime, do the time and you have to bear all which goes with it!

    The irony of ironies.

These chareidi boys who knowingly broke the law (although seem not to have known it was drugs being smuggled) is being poisoned by the chareidi bloggers who profess to have the boys interest at heart.

A culture that promotes bending the law being done in by a culture which prides itself on not knowing about other cultures. And that Japanese culture retaliating for this offense.

No matter how you slice it, it is so sad.

What does the article have to do with the headline? He does not bring any current examples to support his point. Whether he’s right or wrong, it seems to be pretty irrelevant to the Japan case.

Mordechai Tzivin, deal with the real issue, like how this boys got sucked in by a member of the community to smuggle drugs. Instead of the reporting of it.

Maybe if you do that you would solve real problems

The unfounded rumors that they are being “tortured” in Japanese prisons really means, they are treated the same as the Japanese prisoners.

Harsh? Yes, but you broke the law.

Just who is ‘His Majesty’ in the context of this article, please?

It is not the Japenese that started the chain of events that put these R’L yungerleit in prison, it was another Yid. Let’s not forget that.

Haven’t read what the latest status of these poor young boys is! All these posters having no compassion for these guys is a disgrace coming from Jews! Pidyon shvuyim is a priority mitzvah. Who says these boys are guilty? Thought already it was understood that they fell into this trap by the criminal in Israel (who masks as an orthodox Jew). These boys should have been released to the Israeli authorities and then they could have pursued further what needed to be done. Wishing them well!
