Members of the Fraternal White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan attend an event. The FWKs have held marches to oppose gay marriage and also claim to have infiltrated the Postville Agriprocessors plant to expose illegal immigrants. Postville, IA – The Ku Klux Klan, an organization that started as a men’s social club more than 144 years ago in Pulaski, Tenn., has found footing in the Cedar Valley.

In a November interview with KGAN TV’s Chris Jose, Brother Douglas, Imperial Wizard of the Fraternal White Knights of the KKK, said the FWKs have almost 100 members in Iowa.

In an e-mail interview with the Northern Iowan, Douglas said the FWKs now have Klaverns (a group of seven or more members) in at least 11 Iowa towns including Cedar Falls and Waterloo.

The FWK state headquarters are located in Charles City.

According to Douglas, the Klan works in a number of ways to achieve its goals. He said that a couple of Klan members had infiltrated the Postville Agriprocessors plant and helped expose illegal immigrants working there. However, he did not give names of the members involved. In May 2008, federal authorities raided the plant, arresting more than 380 illegal immigrants in the process.

What they are saying is that eventhough many people may be doing in this country something that may be illegal , like hiring indocumented immigrants, minorities will be found guilty moe often, because this group will try to get them. it makes sense to say that actually is what happen to Rubashkin

i don’t understand how you people can say “free rubashkin”? even if it was anti-semitism, it doesn’t change the fact that we should not stick up for a man who went into a town of non jews who used to like jews, and turned it into a crime ridden place, full of illegal immigrants and ultra orthodox jews who don’t have any regard for the secular laws at all! he broke the laws, he created a chillul hashem, he embarrassed the name of the jewish people! shame on you for supporting him!

They’re just like arabs, claiming responsibility for something they wish they’d done first. Wonder how PETA feels about that. And yeah, the guy on the left rocks those tennis shoes!

Just because the Klan says this? It is not credible. They may or may not have been involved.
They could say they were involved just to get support and press attention.
Best thing is to ignore these lunatics.

This is a horrible form of bigotry. First of all I doubt you even know anyone from Postville. Don’t have regards for the secular laws at all????!!!??!!? What the hell is that supposed to mean? As if they are just like the kkk… a twisted organization that will break the law if only to further their own demented goals. “The town used to like Jews”??? On what basis do you say that? Maybe bc you saw that stupid documentary, and from your chair in wherever you are decided to act as Judge! Learn some Yadin Yadin. The only one truly embarrassing the Jewish people are those who are ashamed, such as yourself. SO ACTUALLY SHAME ON YOU!!!!

Sorry to all you anti Rubashkin haters.

This gives some credence to the idea that their was anti-semitism involved in the take-down of agriprocessors.

Racism, anti-Semitism and fear of immigrants have long plagued our society. My mother survived the Holocaust, so we have first hand experience of racism and irrational hatred of Jews carried to its logical extension. On my father’s side, we have an uncle and several other family members who are believed to have been lynched by the KKK. Whether bigots use “ropes” to hang their victims or so-called “immigration laws” to uproot productive workers and destroy families, we need to say, “enough is enough.”

This is the silliest tack taken yet. Get over it, a Jew broke a bunch of laws, exploited people and ruined a town. He’ll go to prison. Find somebody to blame….say, Rubashkin and those who supported him?

The government is the one who should be in jail. THEY are the ones who allow the illegals in, do nothing to shut down the borders, practically invite them in by offering free medical care, free education for their kids, food stamps ad nauseum. They would even love to give them amnesty. The state of North Carolina gives them driver’s licenses without any proof of residence. There are cars all over in Lakewood with N. Carolina license plates. Here in Lakewood they’re standing around clogging up the shopping areas, committing crimes, while the police stand across the street and look at them, instead of rounding them up and deporting them. Then, when some hardworking business owner needs some cheap labor so that he can make a living, HE goes to jail. It makes my blood boil.

Its funny, in a sad way… how the nut-balls from BOTH sides of the political spectrum want to take credit for hating Jews more. PETA on the fringe left, and KKK on the fringe right. It just has to make you chuckle a bit when you think of these 2 groups actually agreeing on something. I guess for them, “the enemy of my enemy is my friend” really does apply… in a horribly dangerous way.

Rubashkin committed crimes. He committed violations of immigration law and financial fraud. At least the Obama admin got SOMETHING right in dropping the immigration charges against SR. Perhaps there is a deal to be struck on the fraud as well. Like it or not, for SR’s case, having a bunch of liberals around may help him tremendously.

Since when was modern orthodoxy meant to create a life style to live like the goy next door, and do everything so the next door neighbor should be happy, even if it means that you bash your brother?
Each and every time an article appears about Rubashkin, there are people claiming to be modern orthodox (or it is hinted from they’re writing) that start the Rubashkin Bash. They have more sympathy for anyone then their own brother.

Mr Friedman, has to inderstand that what ever he does here will set precedent for smaller slaughterhouses. If he gives in to PETA, he may as well join the ranks of Hebrew National (and for those from Montreal) add Levits as well.

it isn’t right to call the KKK “Nazis” – they are not National Socialists – they are a racist group but not Nazis. Also, the club that started 144 years ago in Pulaski is not the same Klan from today – the original Klan was not as racist, and not anti-semitic at all, but rather was part of the reconstruction after the Civil War, and it went away in like 20 years or so after the war. Today’s racist and anti-semitic Klan was started in the 1920’s.

#43 you put them in a favorable light.
I’m not sure you realize that together with the minority groups ,they want the Jews out of America. In addition, they have never denounced violence, but in fact rever it, but since they know they’ll end up nowhere but in prison if they utilize violence, they resist the temptation.
Would chas vesholom the winds of political correctectness change to endorse violence against us, they would not hesitate to do exactly as the Nazis did to us.
Their agenda is Nazi-like and it sickens me when our own narrow-minded Jews want to sanitize them in an attempt to stroll along in their blissful and intentional ignorance.
It also makes me sick when so many of you bash your own brother, and you swipe away the fact, like an anoying fly, that a racist orginaztion was the one having a hand in bringing down Rubashkin’s plant.
I CAN’T TAKE THIS SICK REASONING:
KKK, a group that has a vicious, racist agenda, well they could be worse
The government knowingly gives out benefits from our tax money to illegal aliens, its okay
Millions illegal aliens work in American plants, companies and business, that’s okay

But your own brother you CONDEMN!

Say what you will, but do you see the price of a roast beef these days? $70.00 and wait till Pesach. Rubashkin made meat affordable and plentiful for the Kosher consumer and didn’t do anything that other stores don’t do. Orthodox Jews were just not wanted in Heartland America. Rubashkin should be out on bail. He did not commit a heinous crime. Did u notice how white and blue collar crime is punished more harshly than murder?
