The victim was hit at the intersection of East 32nd Street and Avenue J just before 9 a.m.
He was rushed to Kings County Hospital in critical condition.
The boy was walking to Yeshiva at the time, and somehow got away from his mother, according to police.
He was running across the street when he was struck by a vehicle.
It was not immediately known if there was any criminality.
please say thehilm for Boruch Mordechai Ben Tessle
Refuah Shelaime–and why was the kid running in the street without supervision and why didn’t the bus block traffic, we have lost to many kinderlach because of negligents
Please note mothers name is tessle not pessel.
A refuah shalamah. Another reason to move the cars off the local streeets, especially around yeshivot, betei medrashim and heimeshe grocery markets.
From Torah Temima
Do you know the child’s last name? He should have a refuah shleima
#1 read the artical it said he ran away form the mother and threre where no busses #3 please get yourself checked out at a mental facility
#5 dont be such a yenta
This week alone I have written down 6 license plate numbers of people that did not stop for the bus. What am I supposed to be doing with this info? 90% of the people were on the Cell phones when they did not stop for the bus! PEOPLE I know you are very talented and can multi task but there is NO WAY that you can concentrate on both talking on the phone and driving!!!
#1 your such a buffoon full of hatered. Didn’t u read the article that somehow the boy ran away from the mother? no mention of running to a bus the boy was walking to yeshiva. Why nag about the bus. It looks like the kid just ran off and into the cars. So why r u blaming and accusing. Amazing how people are so eager to accuse and criticize
there was supervision!! his mother was right there & saw the whole thing! he somehow got ahead of her. That’s why they call it an ACCIDENT!
Just FYI, East 32nd is not in Midwood, Midwood is defined by the 11230 zipcode and ends at Ocean Avenue.
After reading the above, I would have guessed some of you all were reading a completely different article than the one posted. May Hashem be with this family.
Everyone get off the stupid computer – and grab a Tehillim…. Goodby – I am logging off…
Shame on all of you attackers with dirty language.
Do you think ur nasty comments will be a zchus for a refuah shelaime? Watch how you respond to other fellow posters, no matter how dumb their comment was. You know who you are…
#3: What a stupid comment.
Do you want to stop vehicular traffic on local streets so children can run about?
If parents don’t supervise their children that’s tragic and unfortunate with horrible results. But don’t start blaming drivers for that.
Perhaps we should go back to the middle ages and travel by bike and horse-drawn carriage only; it might pretty much reduce car accidents.
Rabosai, Let’s talk to each other with respect with out criticizing or being sarcastic. kiloni bnei ish achod.
My Hashem give this yougnster a speedy recovery. This should also open the eyes to all the frum women (yes women, see this weeks Jewish Press about the young woman in the sheitel who gave “the finger” to the older frum woman while driving) to be careful while driving.
question is that a fact that the kid ran from the mother or was she really negligent . articles for the most part are never accurate . were there any witnessess to say one way over another?
the mothers name is tessle or pessle

Is there any updates with this Tyberg Boy???
No. 7. Go get some anger managment ; you are prone for a heart attack c’v .
This boy is a son of one we all know very well…
He did a lot to keep us happy – now its pay-back time, lets keep him happy and say a Kapital Tehilim.
I am extremely close to the family. The kids as welln including little Moti. Being that I haven’t heard an update for the last hour or so, I came here to see if there’s any update here. I am so shocked and dismayed that when most of you hear such a tragic story about one of our own, you respond to it by tearing into eachother. What a horrible and selfish way to be. And how do you think the mother will feel when she reads these posts later and sees the world, her world, blaming her for the tragic accident that Hashem chose to bestow upon her and her family. This boy is lying on a hospital bed in the ICU with half his skull remover, his brain exposed, and his parents are sitting over him hoping and begging that he regains consciousness and all you can do is sit here and criticize eachother in his name. How awful.
Hashem should help he should have a speedy recovery! May has hem protect all klal yisroel since we cant predict the next step in life
I am familiar with the area, where this tragic accident occurred. There is virtually no parking in the area. Thus, at every intersection, the cars are parked right up to the intersecton; therefore, it is extremely difficult to see past the intersection. In other words, if one has to come to a full stop at a stop sign and proceed (assuming there is no traffic light at many of the intersections), it is hazardous, as one’s field of vision is blocked. Cars are not supposed to be parked within 20 feet of an intersection, but those laws are rarely enforced. Secondly, I’ve noticed cars which frequently doublepark, and make it difficult for other cars to pass. Third, cars have a habit of illegally backing up long distances, which is also a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Fourth, there is no derech eretz given to pedestrians legally crossing the street, not only by goyim, but by frum drivers. When one legally crosses with the light, cars which make a left or right turn try to run the pedestrian over (even older people). Fifth, even if someone is not driving over the speed limit, the driver in back is in a hurry, and will attempt to pass a car, even on a solid yellow line!
I hope the boy recovers quickly.
Any u/d on his condition.
OMG!!!!!
OMG!!!!!!! riki be well
My name is also Boruch Mordechai. My mother a’h told me that when I was about 3 years old she was walking with me down a street near our home in Newark NJ. Suddenly I broke away from her and ran into the street right in front of a moving automobile. BH the driver slammed on the brakes and stopped just in time. Thank you Hashem.
Any Updates?
From what I was told about this incident, this was a purely horrible accident. This is a fine mother who chooses to walk her kids to the bus stop each and every morning. She could possibly allow and 8 yr old to go by himself. It seems he saw the bus pulling up and ran into the gutter. The oncoming car had no warning and the bus’ lights were not yet flashing. So lets reserve judgement until the facts are straight. In the meantime saying Tehillim will be much more productive!
Is there any update? I heard there was a school bus of girls right there when the accident happened and they were very shaken up.
BH, Mutty is a bit more stable but he is still not out of the woods yet. They don’t know how deep brain damage, in any, may extend. At this point they are taking it hour by hour and iy’h he will have a full refuah b’karov!
I guess you got the point by now. Next time read a little more carefully and you wont have to be reading so many responses.
There are 2 productive things to do:
1) Say tehillim: Boruch Mordecha ben Tessel
2) Write to the DOT demanding a traffic light at the corner of E. 32nd and Ave. J. Address:
Commissioner Department of Transportation
55 Water Street
9th Floor
New York, NY 10004
Sorry–The zip code for the DOT at 55 Water St., 9th Floor, NYC is 10041.
my son was hit by a car 2 yrs ago and he was not little and he was being carefull, accidents happen. if anyone has any feelings all that is needed to be said is refuah shlemah you dont know that family is not reading what all of you have written. i did and it can very hurtful. just say your tehilim and daven for all your loved ones to stay safe!
