Newark, NJ – Sen. Lautenberg Blasts Buchanan’s Jew Remark

    31

Newark, NJ – U.S. Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ) responded to commentator and former Republican Presidential candidate Pat Buchanan’s complaint today that “if Kagan is confirmed, Jews, who represent less than 2 percent of the U.S. population, will have 33 percent of the Supreme Court seats”:

“It is outrageous that Mr. Buchanan is using Elena Kagan’s religion as kindling to enflame opposition to her nomination to the Supreme Court,” stated Lautenberg. “Elena Kagan was chosen by President Obama because of her ability and knowledge, and Mr. Buchanan’s comments undermine her significant legal achievements. It sounds like Mr. Buchanan longs for the days when religious quotas kept people out of high-ranking positions in government.”

Frank, shudup! i agree with Pat!

as usual the liberal takes a snipet of what is said and is outraged.

    this is what he sad:
Is this the Democrats’ idea of diversity?

But while leaders in the black community may be upset, the folks who look more like the real targets of liberal bias are white Protestants and Catholics, who still constitute well over half of the U.S. population.

Not in living memory has a Democratic president nominated an Irish, Italian or Polish Catholic, though these ethnic communities once gave the party its greatest victories in the cities and states of the North.

What happened to the party of the Daleys, Rizzos and Rostenkowskis?

And not in nearly half a century has a Democratic president nominated a white Protestant or white Catholic man or woman.

    […]

If Kagan is confirmed, the Court will consist of three Jews and six Catholics (who represent not quite a fourth of the country), but not a single Protestant, though Protestants remain half the nation and our founding faith.

He is right! the liberals in the dem party always want diversity, but in reality, if there was to be real diversity, then there should be a mojority protestant justices.

If you read the whole piece you’ll realize that Lautenberg us taking Buchanon totally out of context. Lautenberg sounds like he writes for the NY Times.
Buchanon may indeed be an anti-semite, but this piece was not anti-semitic; it was anti Obama.
Read the piece, the whole piece before rushing to judgment.

Why do we even give this guy any attention. The right wing zealots have written him off because of his appearences on CNN and MSNMBC. The left wing has always hated him and yidden know that he, Limbaugh and others like them are hard core antisemitim.

If Jews make the same observation, it is OK, bragging. When Pat Buchanan makes the point, it is anti-semitism. Why? Because Pat Buchanan IS an anti Semite.

Buchanan was baptized as a Catholic. Apparently, he isn’t bothered by the fact that most of the Supreme Court is Catholic, while most of America isn’t.

The Nitziv wrote in his final instructions that the Jews should not wield power over the gentiles. The non Jew does not want the Jew having control over them. We are 2% of the population, we should make 2% of the political noise. Let us ask once again, is it good for us Yidden to have a Jew in the white house, i.e. as Lieberman almost was? If you think yes, then Kagan can be on the court.

The Jews on the supreme court are Jewish in name only, not in observance or in outlook. Their religion is extreme liberalism or worse. I too feel there are too many such jews on the bench. I prefer a conservative non anti Semitic non Jew who favors the teachings of the Bilble.

too many frum jews who think they are smart and witty paint with broad strokes and just dont get the big picture stop “drinking” the kool aid. Rav Avigdor Miller z’l was a godol b’yisroel who got the big picture so all you “wise” people should stop typing and talking and do more reading and listening it would go a long way in stopping the chillul hashem that you folks make with your comments and attitude.

Buchanan praised the SS [Schutzstaffel]. None of you of course ever saw the SS in action . Not a pretty picture to see Jewish children thrown and shot but they may have been from non-observant homes [quite q few in Europe] and to you not valid Jews. Buchanan’s views luckily have been converted in valid politicals action otherwise you would squirm.

I have always said that Buchanen is sworn anti-semite because you have not heard him say a good word about jews and Israel, ever. He was (is) a paid lobyist for Arab Orgs. The first thing he said after the 2008 elections “was how many jews were elected to congres out of proportion to the population. I think he is a simple dog who has lost his bite. just ignore him.

Felix Frankfurter, a Jewish Supreme Court justice who began his career as a liberal, turned out to be one of America’s most conservative justices. Hugo Black, who, early in his career, was a member of the KKK, turned out to be one of America’s most liberal justices. A similar switch of political outlook, from conservative to liberal, was presented by Chief Justice Earl Warren, architect of Brown vs. Board of Education (1954). In the business of picking Supreme Court justices, choices are like a box of chocolates– you never know what you’re going to get.
