Lyle Chester Adams, 69, and Michayla Louis, 11, were riding in a 2005 Toyota van with three other family members when it rolled over on Interstate 80 about 35 miles east of Rock Springs. Michayla’s sisters, Felicity Threet, 18, who was driving and Hannah Louis, 8, both of Jefferson, were hospitalized for a short time at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County in Rock Springs.

According to the Wyoming Highway Patrol, the van was eastbound when it drifted onto the left shoulder of the road. Police said Adams grabbed the steering wheel to get the van back on the roadway. The van, however, swerved and went into the median, where it rolled three times. Michayla was thrown from the van.
