Toyota Motor Corp. on Friday recalled about 3,800 2009 and 2010 LS 460 and LS 600h sedans in the U.S. to fix a problem in which the steering wheel shifts off-center during certain driving maneuvers, out of alignment with the direction of the car’s wheels.

Toyota spokesman Brian Lyons says Lexus dealers will stop selling the LS until they receive new computer processors to install in the vehicles’ steering systems. He says the new chips are likely to begin arriving in mid- to late June.

Toyota has also recalled about 4,500 LS sedans in Japan and 2,750 elsewhere around the world due to the same problem.

Obviously they knew what was the problem, they stalled till they had a solution flying over and now act like heros.
Toyota/Lexus has hidden many problems including something called oil sludge. They later started an extended warranty for this but still claim it was people that never changed their oil.
MY ADVICE! Any car you have once in a while take it to an non dealer oil change place, they will tell you if you have sludge because they will try to sell you a cleaning. Then decide.

What about all the cars out there. Will they do anything to fix?

Toyota had a great company with a solid reputation. They even had Lexus, a top high end name with in blemishes to its reputation. Toyota has managed to ruin both brands while placing countless lives in jeopardy – some people even died to Toyota’s negligence. They should be ashamed and I hope they go out of business – and every executive with prior knowledge of the trouble should end up penniless. I have no mercy for them because, as it says, those who show mercy to the cruel will ultimately be cruel to the merciful.
