Officials say, that there were two people aboard the plane that crashed into the high-rise apartment building the owner of the plane and a flight instructor.
All discussions of what could have been, as far as the game, aside, the powerful lesson we are shown by this accident is the fact that what Cory Lidle and his family thought was their ticket to happiness turned out to be their ticket to tragedy.
How he must have dreamt from the time he was a small child of being accepted to a big ball team, and succeeding in his career enough to earn the contract he had earned, How his parents must have wished that he gain the fame he desired, and must have stood tall when it came to be a reality which, at the end, led to him having the power of the pocket to buy himself this 175,000.00 plane which turned out to be a curse for him. Had he not been successful in his quest, he might have been living a less exciting life, with a chance at reaching old age, watching the beauty of many sunsets and sunrises and witnessing many happy occasions.
Much effort was expended by the athlete for many years to have made it to where he did in his career. But it turned out to be his curse, because G-d willed it this way. As good a player that he was, as good a contract he negotiated, his strength, talents, bank account and notoriety didn’t help him one bit when G-d had other plans for him.
May we, in the season for judgment, pray for true successes in life.

“The whole plane has a parachute on it,” Lidle said. “Ninety-nine percent of pilots that go up never have engine failure, and the 1 percent that do usually land it. But if you’re up in the air and something goes wrong, you pull that parachute, and the whole plane goes down slowly.”
