Many of the people lost there power, due to trees that have snapped in half as the snow started to fall around the city. Many trees, which still have their leaves, have broke into pieces as the heavy wet snow began to pile up, tree’s limbs break under the weight of the snow and brought down the power lines as they fell.
According to the NOAA, at least 50,000 people in Buffalo and surrounding suburbs have lost power.

Also are many of the roads blocked with tree limbs, leaving a lot of people stranded.

Areas could see 6 inches of snow or more.

There are many frum people on the thruway for the last 12 hours. It does not look like they will be making it to their destinations for Yom Tov, if you have family or Friends around Syracuse or Rochester let them know that there are other jews in need of hospitality for Yom Tov.
