Rick Lazio said, “Since September 11th the world has carefully opened containers coming from outside countries to ensure they do not include weapons or other material that can be used by terrorists to create turmoil. Before we rush to judgment, we must recognize that Israel is constantly threatened by its neighbors and has a right to aggressively defend its ports. I understand the commitment of the Israeli government to defend its ports and borders and citizens from terrorist attack; and believe the United States should check every container that enters our ports and borders as well.”

Rick Lazio, is the Republican candidate for New York Governor.

I will not argue with rick if they have the right to protect that border, But my question is are the isrealis so stupid? Didn’t they know that this is exactly what that ships wanted? Why didn’t they just use there common sense and let this stupid ppl go thru as they know that the whole world is against them,
The EGO what the isrealis have works against their own interest.

The Worked for the hamas yesterday by killing those stupid guys.

    Wake UP!
You gooto watch your steps, even your ego doesnt let!

Nice, but the Governor of New York has no say in things like this. If he were running for the US Senate or his old Congressional seat this might matter.

And so, Rick, had Israel been able to conclusively show that there were no weapons on board, would that mean Israel would have had no right to stop the flotilla?

Unfortunately as some put it, New York needs a governor whose first, second and third concern is New York………and not a foreign state!

Lazio is an idiot and his mindless defense of what will be a PR fiasco for EY only confirms his desparate political pandering to the jewish vote. Why would New York voters want to elect someone who couldn’t even mount a credible campaign and lost by a huge margin to Hillary Clinton.

your post is factually incorrect. lazio is running in a primary against steve levy for the republican nomination. he is NOT the republican candidate for governor rather he is A republican candidate.

Boy does he sound stupid! His heart may be in right place, but he clearly doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Israel was not defending its ports; it was defending the blockade.
