“Tehran’s Jewish community condemns the inhuman act of the Zionists in attacking a non-military Flotilla,” a statement from the Tehran Jewish Community read Tuesday.

“On behalf of Iran’s Jewish community, we firmly demand serious international action to punish the criminals and measures to prevent such catastrophes,” the statement signed by the country’s top Jewish religious and community leaders added.

On Monday, Israeli commandos attacked a convoy of humanitarian aid bound for the war-ravaged Gaza Strip, killing at least 20 activists and wounding dozens more.

The Freedom Flotilla, a convoy of nine ships, was seeking to break the Israeli-imposed blockade on the impoverished coastal enclave.

The attack on the defenseless ships has triggered an international outcry, with Israel’s allies across Europe freezing military ties with the regime and summoning its ambassadors.

Earlier on Tuesday, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei blasted Western powers for hypocrisy in their support of human rights.

“Zionism is a new and more aggressive face of fascism which is this time supported by governments claiming to be advocates of freedom and human rights with the US above all,” Ayatollah Khamenei said in a statement.

The reactions of most people is predictable, that Iranian Jews are “forced” to be anti-Israel. Whenever Jews criticize the State of Israel people say they are “forced.” No one ever bothers to phone or contact them directly. Yet, when other Jews speak in support of the State of Israel in pro-Israel countries no one ever says they were “forced” to support the State of Israel by the pro-Israel lobbies out of fear of losing votes, money, etc. etc. Isn’t that funny??

Don’t take anything our brothers in Tehran say. They are living under an oppressive, anti-semitic regime and have to say whatever they can to remain ‘under the radar’.

I find it funny that in all the countries that deny their citizens free speech – the Jews are always denouncing Israel. Ironic no?

I am glad that everyone here understands: whatever they force Jews of Iran to say is because of the oppresive regime and has nothing to do with what Iranian Jews feel in reality

As a iranian immigrant who lived in the jewish community there not too long ago, I could tell you that whatever the community says, is only due to fear of retribution. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to understand that if you attempt to violate any countries blockade, there will be consequences. Just imagine westerners coming into iran illegaly, in fact there are 3 american hikers jailed there indefinitly cuz they hiked into the country by mistake! The irony in compelling! To #3, your ignorance speaks for itself.

The Iranian jewish community shares the view of many many frum yiddne around the world. While I hope that none of bnei yisroel get hurt in Israel chas v’shalom, the acts of the IDF has been very aggressive and not thinking about the ramifications.

There is a big line in between Zionism and Judism some fo us fail to see the line.

This is an example of the depths of golus described in seforim as choshech koful u’chupal, (darkness doubled and re-doubled), i.e., when darkness is called light and light is called darkness. When Jews in captivity who live in such existential fear they are compelled to mimic the raving lunacy of their captors. G-d have mercy!

OK, guys. So when the war breaks out with Iran, will you say Kaddish over 30,000 Iranian Jews or will you leave that Netanyahu?
Check the website of the Jewish community and ask Iranian Jews in NY and LA for phone numbers to talk to people just like I did.

Freedom of speech? Try talking against the State of Israel publicly in Jewish communities in democratic countries and see what happens to you?

Even if they freely expressed these views, do you think they are working with all available information??? Iran has been blocking Youtube in some manner shape or form since 2006, as well as many other news sources. There is a dirth of information and a myriad of state sponsored disinformation. This cannot be relied upon as representative of true feelings. We cannot compare the opinions garnered in western countries with all available news sources with what is represented in Iran.

The Jews of Iran are not free to express themselves, they live in fear of the Regime.
Like our brothers and sister in Yemen it would be audicious for Persian Jewry to leave for Israel or the US as soon as possible.

NO MORE AID FOR TERRORISTS! The FREE world is SICK of footing the bills for HATERS of FREEDOM and DEMOCRACY! Don’t be naive, Israel! Don’t release the murderers. They should be charged and tried! Smuggling weapons, contraband, suberfuge, sedition, etc..
Activists: Aiding and abetting the enemy is an act of war, NOT an act of MERCY! We want a land of peace and freedom! And they are the problem, not the solution. If they hate ISRAEL so much, they have the whole desert to go grow their OWN food in! WHY DON’T YOU MOVE THEM TO YOUR COUNTRY? Lot’s of room there!
Succinctly put by the great American singer, ” Don’t let the screen door hit you! ON YOUR WAY OUT!”
Hamas: Get your own damn toilet paper! You stand around waiting for a hand out like
you’re entitled to it! 80 truckloads a day of free stuff from Israel. Shame on you! You could have built a country by now, instead all you do is DESTROY.
