Were there any Yidden in Mayberry?
My Zeideh told me years ago that the reason Yidden lived in North Carolina is that a few Yiddish tourists driving to Miami Beach in the 1920s got lost looking for a grocery store. They saw there were no good stores so they came back and opened a Kol Bo. The rest was history…
just so you know, the first yidden in the US, including North Carolina, were sephradim. so we lechoirah have kedimah. No?
