It’s the first of seven buildings included in the three-year expansion, the largest at the Navy Yard since World War Two. The project will create 400,000 square feet of industrial capacity, focused primarily on food manufacturing and processing. Plans are currently being finalized for phase two of the expansion, which will include 1.5 million square feet of added industrial space in the yard’s eastern section.
