Many of the children came bearing signs saying “Gut Shabbos, Abba”, “Abba, is a ten year old allowed to make Kiddush?” and “Free Abba”. While some children were seen wiping away tears, others carried freshly baked Challahs. Some even sang Zemiros and danced outside the prison walls.

Since when did Charediim learn how to use guerilla theater to further their cause. The certainly did not invernt it.The Palestinians perfected the genre with all their staged clashes with the IDF etc. The Turks also put on a good show. Remember the first pictures from the Freedom Flotilla

Any reason why this turns out to be a fight between ashkenazim and sefardim? From some people it sounds like its a fight between the frum and chilonim. There are plenty of frum sefardim and ashkenaz chilonim. My take is that it is the same old askenaz mentality in EY which has always looked down upon the sefardim. The ashkenazim say that they are not against sefardim and proof is that they learn the sefardic rishonim. That’s really a farce. What contemporary sefardim do they respect? You could probably count them on your fingers. Why so few? And those few have pretty much changed their religion to become totally ashkenaz or chasidish. They look, act and talk the same way, which means they converted. Its because as sefardim, they know clearly that they are looked down upon. Now its just in the open! They should repent and learn to live with their fellow jew looking up to them not down.

Disgusting. This is why the Beit Hamikdash was destroyed- pure sin’at chinam. That a child can’t sit in a school and study because her skin and hair color are different. Do they daven to different Gods? Do they keep a different Torah? Does an Ashkenazy Chassidish Torah have different bein adam l’chaveiro mitzvos than a Sefardi Torah?

Israel really needs another war. I hate to say it, but the rockets need to start falling on Yerushalayim. The Arabs need to start killing Sefardim and Ashkenazim alike. Only then will they realize that they are not that different after all.

    My heart weeps.

We’re getting a good picture of the Zionist Bluff.
They use the same tactics as the Turks; publicize LIES.
This is what they did with the frum Meah Shearim woman
whom they have paralized at birth. They ruined a beautiful
family in order to save their face.
They did the same with the Yungerman whom they
fiddled into pleading for “killing” his child and then
had him incarcerated for a few years.
They are out to make the lives of frum yidden miserable, they
want them out of their eyes and lives.

So, what did these kids learn today?
This is only breeding hate.. Rediculous… This was more about making a video than saying good shabbos..

At 120 I’H when we pass, I wonder if g-d will ask if we’re sfardi or ashkenaz or if your lubavitch or a bobver, or which satmar rebbe did you follow, and then asign you appropriately. If for even a second you look down at another jews minhagim or background, I guarantee you a nice warm seat in gehennim.

Im not the most learned person out there but as far as I remember,
Every time it mentions Yisrael in the torah, I dont recall even once it mentioning Ashkenaz or Sefard. When hashem gave the torah at har sinai, I dont remember learning that sfardim were not allowed over there.. Maybe im wrong, or maybe i missed that day in yeshiva….

Now ill answer what these kids learned today.. They learned that jews are not the same, they learned that we are NOT one nation, that we are many nations.

I learned today that we will not see mashiach till we become one nation again.

This is not racism. “Racism” is just a word the media is using to demonize the Haredi community. Sure there may be some snobbery going on here, but since when should it be a crime in Israel to be a snob? The High Court should all arrest themselves, they are the biggest snobs who ever lived!

What about the snobs in Ramat Aviv who want to close down the Beit Chabad because they are afraid their kids might get “contaminated” by Haredi cooties? Arrest them too!

If these parents are so worried about the chinuch of their children then why don’t they teach their kids that the Sefardei girls are also achnu bnei yisroel

This has nothing to do with sephardim and ashkenazim, just frum and non-frum. There were sephardim arrested as well, as their kids are in the frum track of the school.

I wouldn’t want my girls in a school with girls whose younger brothers don’t proper shoes or buttoned shirts on Shabbat. My Sephardic mother kept us home l’kavod Shabbat rather than send us out with improper shoes or a shirt that doesn’t close. And we grew up worrying about what to eat every day. But l’kavod Shabbat there is a way to go out and if chas v’shalom you really can’t manage, you should stay home rather than disgrace the Melech!

Please can we send shoes and clothing aid to Emmanuel, these poor children obviously need it?

These children have to learn to live in a world that will include yidden of all levels of observance from ultra-charedei to secular, as well as goyim. If these yinglach are going to be insulated from the real world that these parents feel compelled to build a brick wall inside the school so g-d forbid these children don’t even talk to one another, they are being sentenced to be dysfunctional when then grow older when they will have to deal with all sorts of people. Why do these parents want thier children to grow up in a ghetto. Hashem yarachem on the children–the parents are certainly NOT heroes or great tzadkikim.

The racsist court has definatly achieved it’s mission no matter how much tshuva those parents do. There children will always feel inferior to these childtren who’s parents went to jail al kidush Hashem berabim,& they were taught to do their part.
How will the children of those that caused this ever be accepted, let alone the parents.
You could be sure the so called racsism will go alot further now. People will cross roads when they meet others they won’t daven in the same shuls use the same mikvaot, buses & grocery stores.
If you noticed this is a girls school problem, what about the boys?
Did you know there are some Frum [Officially] Sefardi Ladies who wear pants, could you understand Chasidishe parents wanting their children to assosiate with other girls who don’t wear pants. That is why some Sefardim are also in jail here. Do you nutcases think that Reb Shmuel Vosner at his age & caliber is busy with racism? You people are racsist against chareidim.

“The entire debate between us revolves around whether the girls’ blouses will be buttoned up to the wrist or 10 centimeters below the elbow. There’s no argument about the fact that everyone, all the parents, meet the stringent requirements of halakha.…Once and for all, you have to understand that if the father wears a blue shirt that doesn’t make the home any less a house of Torah. I have no problem if every group establishes a school. We didn’t stop them from establishing a school on their own, we stopped them from taking control of an existing school, which receives [state money]. It was a hostile takeover and we had to act.”

    a point to ponder.
the sepharadim were are and the overwhelming majority in Emanuel. The school has standard Charedi and only recently taken over by the slonimers. They then imposed their racist laws.

    A confrontation between whom?

Between those who follow the law and those who believe that they are above the law of the land that protects them, sacrifices its sons and daughters so that they can live as they wish, that they live off of without paying taxes in many cases?

This, if anything, will create even more sinas khinam.

This shows that Israel is a democracy.

NEVER AGAIN. They have turned into a communist dictatorship seperating children from parents. As an orthodox Jew,financially well off and connected,I pledge to support only yeshivas. How can they incarcerate both parents? Who will take care of the children, social workers? What are they thinking, really? Are these parents murders or criminals that they cant be dealt with otherwise in a civilized matter. This would never happen in the USA, never.

Who are they punishing and for what? This is something that every parent all over the world does, trying to stick to their own. Punish the school not the the children. The most they can do is impose a fine, but this? Reshaim!

Why is this a Kiddush Hashem?. How could one say this?

We religious people look like lunatics. The world is probably wondering why Jews can’t get along- one Jewish factor, against the other One religious Jew against the other.

This is to me a big Chillul Hashem.

I am not a Chabad person, but I know they don’t have these issues as they will take even non-frum kids to their school.

Something one can learn from them!

What is happening now is embarrasing to the Jewish people. And if they don’t win this case, it will be a tremendous Chillul Hashem.

    Ugh.

they should never be there and be part of the protest, leave them alone give them a chance to have a normal childhood, this is so brainwashing, you’re making them future violent protestors, haters of the other jews, aka secular zionists jews, for what they “did” to their parents !

Why is everyone so defensive about Ashkenazim being accused of discrimination. Only in America is discrimination such a dirty word if its against blacks. But in Israel what’s the big deal if Sephardim are discriminated against. Maybe its allowed in view of the fact that Sephardim never had reform or conservative sects. So they are more naïve and

Here in NY, we are mixed, yet the parents make it very clear or hope so anyways that everyone has a different lifestyle and we should learn to respect it! All of sudden it became a problem?! What happened to achdus, as it says by MAtan Torah “V’yichan shum Yisrael” V’yichan because “k’ish achad b”lev achad”
