Rabbi Saul Emanuel, director of the Vaad Ha’ir, said its mashgiachs will be present at all times at every phase of distribution from the slaughterhouse until the meat is in the hands of consumers, without exception.
The mashgiachs must be employees of the Vaad. Under the existing system, the supervised establishments pay the cost of the mashgiachs to the Vaad, which then pays the mashgiachs directly.
word must travel slowly to the canucks nothing of the border.
Now if Monsey would do that it would be great
So they just found out about the Monsey scandel? “Immediately”….
What does that word mean?
lets all say thank you to rabby peretz jaffe who puts in so much work for the kashruth in montreal
It;s about time. Maybe we should import our meat from Montreal.
“Montreal’s main kashrus certifying organization is immediately requiring full-time mashgiachs at all establishments under its supervision that handle meat. “
What took them soooo long?!
At least one city cares about kashrus enough to invest in this idea. Especially because Montreal has one of the buther’s sons living there.
