Jakarta, Indonesia – Passenger Plane Missing

    Jakarta, Indonesia – An Indonesian passenger plane carrying 102 people lost contact with flight controllers, and officials said it was still missing more than six hours after its scheduled arrival.
    Transport Minister Hatta Radjasa said a distress signal had been picked up over central Sulawesi and rescue crews were on their way to search for survivors. "Let's hope the plane had an emergency landing," he said.

    An Indonesian air traffic controller, Bhabr, said that the plane hit "very bad" weather and may have run out of fuel because, if still airborne, would be "over its (fuel) limit." Bhabr.
    The missing Adam Air flight was traveling between Indonesia's Java and Sulawesi islands — a two-hour trip — carrying six crew and 96 passengers, including 11 children.
