Netherlands – Frits Bolkestein, a retired member of the Dutch VVD party and formerly a European Commissioner, has said there is no future for orthodox Jews in Holland because of, “the anti-Semitism among Dutchmen of Moroccan descent, whose numbers keep growing”.

He said that orthodox Jews, who are recognizable as such, should encourage their children to immigrate to the United States and Israel, because he has little confidence in the effectiveness of the government’s proposals for fighting anti-Semitism.
Bolkestein believes there is no future for ‘active’ Jews in the Netherlands. The conservative politician made his remarks in an interview with freesheet De Pers.
In the interview, former EU Commissioner says that when he talks about active Jews he means those who are recognisable as such, for instance Orthodox Jews.
Earlier, Mr Bolkestein made similar statements in Het Verval (The Decline) by Manfred Gerstenberg, a recently published book about Jews in the Netherlands. Frits Bolkestein was political leader of the current coalition party VVD between 1990 en 1998. He later served as European Commissioner from 1999 until 2004
Dutch politicians and prominent Dutch Jews reacted angrily to his statements with Geert Wilders twittering that it is not Jews who should immigrate but “the Moroccans who are anti-Semitic.”
Prominent Dutch rabbi Raphael Evers, called Bolkestein’s comments “unacceptable”

He speaks the truth. Same holds for Sweden, Norway and Denmark. Jews are not safe there and it would be wise for them to leave a.s.a.p. Most politicians in Europe are anti-Semitic and as the Arab populations grow, those politicians will seek the Arab vote, which will only enhance their anti-Semitism. Jews of Europe, leave now while you can get out alive.
While this statement has all the trappings of being viewed as anti-Semitic, he’s not wrong. The Dutch, as well as the rest of Europe will not be able to handle the growing Muslim population. And unless they deport the rabble-rousers, and don’t curtail imigration, they will not be able to protect Any Jew, recognizable or not.
I don`t see this as being anti-Semitic. He said the sad truth. Orthodox Jews are afraid to walk in certain areas in Amsterdam because of Muslim anti-Semitism. I`m afraid the way it looks, it`s just going to get worse.
They should focus on law enforcement not on encouraging jews to leave.
Foolish people. He is simply being honest. He is trying to show how bad it is with the muslims in Holland.
its certainly our problem but compared to other dutchman (non muslin) its a small thing.we could go to israel or the states but where can they go.
Sounds like he is saying the Moroccan muslims yemach sh’mom are the problem. The problem is he doesn’t have the guts to say it like it is!
Sad but unfortunately very true. Holland is actually the first country in Europe that’ll become majority muslim over the coming years, according to demographic statistics of muslim immigration to European countries. Not to worry though, UK, France and most EU countries will follow suit one by one, over the next 20 to 50 years or less.
For a while I lived in a Turkish neighborhood in the Netherlands. My neighbors knew I was American, but did not know that I am a Jew. I thought it safer to keep that information to myself. However, they were all very cordial and helpful to me as an American, no hostility on that score. The neighborhood, however, was a bit rough–occasional knife fights on the weekend and people assaulting each other with dirty diapers. I stayed at home after dark.
The ethnic Dutch I came in contact with did know that I was Jewish and in general had a very positive attitude toward Jews. Many of them had Jewish ancestors and were very proud of that fact. As positive as the attitudes toward Jews, the attitude of the ethnic Dutch toward Muslims is decidedly negative. The only native Dutch anti-Semitism I personally encountered came from the mouth of the Bishop of den Bosch. In the town where I lived there is a Bibleland theme park of sorts, and the idiot bishop complained that Bibleland had too many Jews in their exhibits. I suppose his idea of Bibleland was Pharoah, the Queen of Sheba, Nebuchadnezzar, Haman, Pontius Pilate and not much else.
Mr. Dutchman, with all due respect yo you, why don’t you leave??
The goverment should do something about it and not close their eyes like the past has shown us here in Europe
He is just warning that Holland will lose productive Jews for the sake of barbaric Muslims.
