Christie says he was surprised to meet the music great a fundraiser in New Brunswick for Chabad House, a Jewish community center. And when a Christie fan introduced the GOP governor to McCartney as a “rock star,” Christie says he felt obliged to set the record straight.
When the governor took the stage to give a speech, Christie says he made it clear that McCartney was the only rock star in the room.
Christie says McCartney was attending the fundraiser because the father of McCartney’s girlfriend, Nancy Shevell, is a Chabad House supporter.
Oh Governor Christie, you’re not a rock star even when the great McCartney isn’t in the house. What’s with these politicians?
I wonder if there’s a video out there of Sir Paul at the Chabad fundraiser…I’ve seen many with Jon Voight.
Wowzas, Rabbi G! The Gov and Sir Paul at Chabad of Rutgers. Keep up the good work.
It was not a Chabad Event. It was Carlebach event that tries to present itself as Chabad. It’s part Carlebach& part Messianists.
Rabbi Carlebach, regardless of the fact that I don’t agree with everything he does, is doing a great job at Rutgers. The one who forced him out of official Chabad made a big mistake.
