President Barack Obama on a cell phone in the hallway outside the Situation Room of the White HouseWashington – The White House is staying out of the debate over Sarah Palin’s claim that her critics engaged in “blood libel” by criticizing her after Saturday’s attack by a lone gunman in Tucson, Ariz.

White House spokesman Robert Gibbs declined comment Thursday. He told reporters “there are plenty of people that can render opinions on that.” But he says he won’t be one of them.

Palin critics have said her use of cross-hairs on maps of political districts and slogans such as “Don’t retreat, reload” create a poisonous atmosphere that sets the stage for violence. There is no evidence that the shooter in Arizona was influenced by Palin or by conservative imagery.

Palin rebuked her critics with a term — “blood libel” — that is associated with centuries-old claims that Jews ritualistically killed Christian children.

The opinion and logic to somehow blame this horrific event on Sarah Palin and other conservatives, is as twisted and cruel as the event itself. Yes i stand by those words.

How dare these heartless inhumans in the media immediately, IMMEDIATELY, find balme at those who dare disagree with their political agenda? How low will they stoop? Have they no shame at all???? Disgusting.

And on top of all that they now AGAIN accuse Sarah Palin of using a term – in her defence – that’s “offensive to Jews”. Now they’re suddenly sensitive to feelings of Jews!! Did they EVEN ONCE take Israel’s side in the conflict with those Palestenians?? They have condemned Israel – and the Jews – at EVERY GIVEN OPPORTUNITY!! These same Anti Semites are now suddenly on our side. If it wasn’t so sickening it would be funny…..

For a change, I heard a Whitehouse spokesman actually say something smart. You can choose to defend or be offended by the Palin remark. It’s trivial. I can’t think of anyone who will either succeed or fail to put food on the table for tonight dinner because of it. I can’t think of anyone whose safety is improved or jeopardized by it. It’s about time that the Whitehouse limited itself to its responsibilities – putting America back to work with a strong and growing economy. Stop getting buried in nonsense.
