The coalition says Thursday’s hearing will send the wrong message to U.S. Muslims by “demonizing” them.
The Rev. Al Sharpton, entertainment promoter Russell Simmons and the imam who was an initial key supporter of plans to develop a mosque near ground zero are expected to speak at Sunday’s rally in Times Square.
A group calling itself the Liberty Alliance plans to hold a counter-rally in support of the hearing.
The hearing was scheduled by U.S. Rep. Peter J. King of New York, chairman of the Committee on Homeland Security. It’s the first in a series of hearings on “radicalization” among U.S. Muslims.
I think we should send Sharpton to Iran for a week, then we should let him weigh in to this matter!
All you got to do is see who is on which side of the argument to know which side is the right one. Also the muslims behave like the animals they are – we don’t need to demonize them, their actions speak louder than anything!
If anyone can advise which sunday it will take a place and where!
What are they afraid of, if they’re innocent they would’nt have a problem with it!
Don’t blow up airliners,
Don’t shoot soldiers in Texas,
Don’t conspire to kill in Fort Dix,
Don’t murder innocent women and children in skyscrapers.
Muslims! You need more reasons to justify the hearings?
the Rally will take place today Times Square, New York
7th Avenue at 42nd Street

Even for Al Sharton this is way out of line. Memories are short…Sharton may be an loud mouthed trouble maker but to go against these hearings is to go against our national security. Plenty of good people of color have been the victims of Muslim radical actions world wide and in the USA. Was he sleeping on 9-11-2001?
BH it is raining today
Charlie lI have an extra umbrella in my car let me know if you will need it when you attend the rally.
We Jews have grown very comfortable here in America. However, we must be very wary of anything that singles out a specific ethnic group.
The focus should be on homegrown terrorists in America. If the findings reasonably lead to Muslims and mosques, so be it.
Do whatever it takes. This is no time for pussyfooting around and being politically correct so that someone isn’t offended. WE are offended at being victimized at Muslims’ sick and twisted whims. What’re we waiting for? For more innocent blood to be shed by the lowest creatures who walk this earth, the ones indoctrinated from babyhood into maiming and killing anyone who doesn’t talk, walk or act like them? For the Muslims who are concerned, don’t kvetch to us; take it up with the aggressors who got you into this mess to begin with.
I think what Peter King is doing is terrific, he is throwing the ball back in their court. Not attacking Islam or Muslimes but asking the Muslime Americans to show up and proclaim themselves as defenders of America, her constitution, her laws, her land. To stand up against the shooter in Germany, the murderer at Fort Hood, denouncing Bin Laden and al Qaida, Hamas and Hasbalah. Great idea Pete.
