Lakewood, NJ – Firefighters Battle Blaze at Construction Site

Lakewood, NJ – Firefighters are battling a general alarm fire at a home under construction in the Somerset Walk development here, police said.

The fire, on Canary Drive, was reported at 3:14 p.m. and had not been contained, according to police Sgt. Steve Vigna.

Firefighters report the fire had gotten through several floors and was still burning. Firefighters reported heavy fire on the second floor.
