Brad Weisberg, 30, and sister Danielle, 26, said TheJMom.com, which went live in November, allows Jewish mothers to network with other parents in the hunt for romantic pairings for their children, the Chicago Sun-Times reported Monday.

The idea came to the siblings after their mom expressed interest in looking at their online dating profiles. One night Brad Weisberg, finally gave in and granted his mom access to his account. By the end of the night, she picked out around 10 women.

“A light bulb came on in both of our heads,” Danielle Weisberg said.

Her brother said when it comes to online dating “someone in their 20s or 30s might just look at pictures first,” while “a mom is paying more attention to their interests and similarities and family values.”

The Web site is currently offering free trial memberships, the Weisbergs said.
