Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said Tuesday the $5 million boat was federally-funded and will be delivered in about a year. The department has 28 boats already, but they’re much smaller and not nearly as fast. The new vessel can carry 30 officers, plus gear to respond to an emergency, either at sea or on land. There is also space for passengers.
The boat will have satellite, fax, Internet, video and infrared camera. It also has sealed doors and a pressurized cabin that can keep out contaminated air. It is being made by a company in Somerset, Mass.
sound cool
May we use it only for simchas
I made a police report (by the 79 police deportment)that some brake into my car and took out my navigation,, I told them that I have it on camera and They are just ignoring me
I guess They are waiting for the both to arrive
Unbelievable!!!
This boat must be truly amazing if it can respond to emergencies on land too…
