Medical workers check a child just returning from Japan for nuclear radiation traces in the military Hospital No. 307 in Beijing, China, 18 March 2011. Travelers come for the exam on volunteer basis. The World Health Organization has said the radiation risk from Japan's nuclear crisis remains localized, with no sign of threatening elsewhere in Asia. EPA/SHEPHERD ZHOUWashington – A diplomat in Vienna says Japan’s radioactive fallout has reached Southern California, but first readings are “about a billion times beneath levels that would be health threatening.”

This is why SOME Yidden shouldn’t have said the dumb remark that this was retribution for the arrest of the Satmar youth. Innocent people are being harmed by this everywhere.

What is the big tsimmis about some very low does of radiation levels reaching the West Coast? From 1946-1963, the USA and the Soviet Union set off hundreds of nuclear bombs in the atmosphere. Those hydrogen bombs were infinitely more powerful than the radiation leak at the nuclear power plant in northern Japan. Thbere was no mass panic then, when radiation levels were sent all over the world.

This radiation comes in waves. This is only the first wave. There’s lots more that will come when what is happening in Japan NOW, reaches US in a week or so.
