Those arrested Friday include commercial operators and four Metropolitan Transportation Authority employees. A day earlier, two bus drivers and a cab driver were rounded up.
The crackdown comes after officials said the driver of the Bronx crash had violations under an alias and his driving privileges were suspended under another name.
State investigators are using facial recognition technology to identify individuals with a valid commercial driver’s license in one name and additional licenses in another. Their driving privileges are suspended pending prosecution.
It’s about time!
good, get them off the roads
I thought you have to be fingerprinted when you get a license!! Chaufeur’s license?? Anybody know??
U get finger printed only to drive a school bus not any other commercial vehicle
What the Government doesn’t realize that each one of these people who have used aliases for their drivers license also got a passport on both these names. When one has a valid drivers License they can easily get a passport. There are thousands if not millions of people floating around with different passports and aliases. Where is Homeland Security in this deal.
