The winning ticket was one of several bought by members of an office pool at a convenience store less than a block from their workplace, said Albany TV station Fox News 23.

Other sources said the winners work for the state Division of Housing and Community Renewal.

Coulson’s News Center, a decades-old family-run store in downtown Albany, will get a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The winners’ identities have yet to be officially revealed.

“There are a bunch of regulars coming in lamenting that they weren’t the winners. It’s a mystery,” said Zack Hutchins, 28, whose father owns Coulson’s.

Whoever won beat odds of one in 176 million with a Quick Pick ticket, said New York State Lottery spokeswoman Carolyn Hapeman.

The winners have 60 days to decide if they want the money in a lump sum, which knocks the prize down to $202.9 million, Hapeman said.

They’ll then have to pay 25 percent in federal taxes and 8.97 percent in state taxes.

The winning numbers were 22, 24, 31, 52 and 54, and the Mega number was 4.

The jackpot was the sixth-highest in Mega Millions history.

Lottery fans will get another chance a big jackpot today, when someone has a shot at winning a $125 million Powerball prize.

Interesting anecdote, DHCR has been planning major layoffs as part of the budget cutbacks. In fact DHCR even changed their name. Talk about getting paid in the nick of time…..
