Bolton was among the featured speakers Saturday at a conference of conservative Republicans in Iowa. Bolton was nominated for the ambassadorship in 2005 by President George W. Bush.

Bolton told the crowd that Obama doesn’t care enough about national security issues and doesn’t view the world as a threatening place. Bolton also says the U.S. could have made a big difference in Libya, but Obama couldn’t make up his mind on which steps to take.

Several potential GOP presidential candidates also spoke during the event in Des Moines. Iowa Congressman Steve King says he organized the event to allow conservatives to shape the debate as Republicans begin seeking an opponent for Obama.

Wait… John Bolton…. Oh yes! I remember him… he is the guy who was involved in the “Iraq is trying to buy yellowcake from Niger” scandal. He was one of the people who provided the forged documents (although he claims he never knew they were forged). Really John? That excuses didn’t work for Dan Rather and won’t work for you either.

As for his feelings about Obama, I don’t get it. Obama launch a full-scale attack on Lybia with no consultation with Congress or anyone else. That sounds like it is right out of Bolton’s playbook!

John, you are a clown and joke. Your reputation as a liar is cemented in history. How will any nation trust our leadership if our President is willing to fabricate evidence and lie to start a war.

Bolton was one of the three people who destroyed the Bush presidency and he needs to be kept VERY far from that office.

Not qualified? He got elected due to his race, that’s the only qualification needed. Don’t ask me, ask the voters….

‘he is the guy who was involved in the “Iraq is trying to buy yellowcake from Niger” scandal.’

That anyone pays any attention to him after that scandal shows that there are people for whom reality is unimportant.

    PmoinFl,
    Thanks for the sensible comment.
How him, Karl Rove and the rest, have the audacity to take their heads out of the sand now, badmouthing our current president is incomprehensible.

Those stupid conservatives! What do they think theyll accomplish by opening their big mouths? Obama is gonna be our president for another 2 Years (and probably for another 4 years after that considering how the republican party looks right now) wether they like it or not!

We can’t really take John Bolton seriously because he obviously has an ax to grind with democrats. If I remember right democrats held up his confirmation to become the UN ambassador dispite much lobbying and arm twisting from George W Bush and his administration. In the end GWB gave him the job as an interim ambassador which didn’t need senate approval, and eventually he had to go. So while I do feel he was railroaded by democrats, its clear he has an agenda and so one cannot really take his word on any of this stuff.

The only intelligence that matters for our president is that which is needed to do the job well. He has one of it. He has not handled a single issue of his presidency well. His advisors are fools, and he lacked any experience before getting into office, His very election to office was unrelated to the issues, and he has lived up to that perception. He is the first black president, and will not go down in history for anything more important than that, besides wreaking the havoc he has on our domestic and foreign affairs. I care not a bit about his IQ, nor how he does in Scrabble, or on college exams. His record is horrible, and he needs to be out of office. I bemoan the fact that we can’t turn the calendar faster. With all the complains about Bolton (none of which I believe), he has called the Middle East correctly. Neither Obama not Hillary ever did. As long as we focus on the ME, we must get rid of both of them.
