Jerusalem – Israel: Painful Military Retaliation If Rockets Continue

Israeli soldiers walk next to the Iron Dome, a new anti-rocket system, near the southern Israeli city of Beersheba, Sunday, March 27, 2011. Weeks of stepped-up rocket and mortar attacks have drawn fears of renewed war and led to new calls in Israel for the military to deploy the $200 million Iron Dome anti-rocket system. The Israeli military said the system began operating on Sunday near Beersheba, southern Israel's largest city. Benjamin Netanyahu says it must be clear that Israel will not tolerate “a drizzle of rockets and missiles” on its cities.

Netanyahu spoke at a meeting Monday of his Likud party, after two days of relative quiet along the border with the Palestinian coastal strip.

Violence escalated last week with Gaza militants bombarding southern Israel, and Israel retaliating with airstrikes.

Netanyahu says if the attacks continue, “there will be an even more painful military retaliation.”

Israel launched a wide military offensive into Gaza two years ago, trying to end years of daily Palestinian rocket attacks.

I’m no military strategist, but I would consider having IDF begin to push the Israeli-Gaza “border” outward, taking back the land that is really ours. Let the terror regime there run for their lives and lose the land we “gave” them. These animal ingrates respond to concessions with terror. When we blast them to smithereens, they shut up for a while. We just need to stuff a basket of dirty socks into the mouths of the anti-Israel Obama and Hillary, as well as the anti-Israel media.

By the way, has anyone heard about any negative consequences for Robert Gates stating last week that no sovereign nation should have to tolerate the barrage of rockets and missiles on its population? I would expect a termination out of Obama for siding against terror.

    To my detractors:

Thank G-d we all have the right to express our differing opinions! Let us continue to do so – on this thread at least – without throwing mud and fortuitous insults at one another.
