Delegate Samuel I. "Sandy" Rosenberg the House sponsor of the legislationAnnapolis, MD - One French rail company’s work transporting tens of thousands of Jews to Nazi concentration camps during the Holocaust would be laid bare online, under a bill moving through the Maryland General Assembly.

Keolis Rail Services America — a majority of which is owned by the French National Railroad SNCF — has been seeking a contract to run the commuter rail service on two MARC lines. The measure the House passed Monday would mandate that SNCF dig through its wartime documents and post them in a searchable database online.

Keolis Rail Services won a contract to run Virginia’s commuter rail last year.
