The National Weather Service says the storm is expected to hit Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine from late Thursday through Friday evening.

Eastern New York is expected to get 6 to 10 inches of snow. Much of northern New Jersey could see snow on the ground Friday morning.

Forecasters say high-altitude areas of western and central Massachusetts, southern New Hampshire and central Vermont will receive up to a foot of snow. Coastal areas of Rhode Island, Maine and Massachusetts will mostly see rain.

Most of the snow in Massachusetts probably will be washed away by rain.

call it global warming! call it climate change! call it countries being drowned by rising ocean water, scare me as much as you can! This however does nothing of what you claim. I do remember in the early 90’s we had a cold winter, we were being scared by politicians and by other attention seekers, claiming the toll it’ll take on california oranges, on plantation, vegetation, etc. will cause price increases on tomatoes, oranges, everything in the colds path. Guess whatever happens they’ll work hard on finding ways to get attention, on scaring the public, etc. They want us to believe that normal is exactly like they would set the temperature. Anything different than attention seekers “normal” temperature, is reason to work hard to scare the public. Good night Fat Al Gore! I trust g-d on creating the best weather more than fat Al dictating it!

Nearly 30 years ago, before there was any so-called global warming, we had early Spring snowstorm in the Northeast. On April 7, 1982, at the start of Pesach, there was a large snowstorm (over 12 inches) which hit the Northeast.

It seems to me that snowfall in early April is not so unusual for the Northeast. Not every year but often enough to make it no big deal.
