West Hartford, CT – A Waterbury man accused of stealing credit cards and using them to make nearly $6,000 in purchases was arrested.

Edward J. Capasso, 39, of 139 Main St., Waterbury, was detained in Hartford Superior Court and charged with second-degree counts of identity theft, larceny and forgery for stealing credit cards from a locker at Mandel Jewish Community Center on Bloomfield Avenue and using them to make $5,981.33 in purchases.
Capasso is also charged with two counts of credit card theft and nine counts of illegal use of a credit card. [courant]
