Tripoli – Geraldo Rivera is at it again. He managed to become part of the headlines Sunday morning instead of just reporting the news. The Fox News correspondent, and often controversial reporter, was caught in rival crossfire covering the latest upheaval in Libya – all with cameras rolling.

Rivera and his news crew were caught in the middle of the firefight near Brega, Libya. He was covering the latest news out of the country recently torn by citizens fighting for freedom from Muammar Gaddafi’s rule.
Rivera said it was a disorganized situation and a result of bad timing. “It is a mess out there. It was a wild, wild scene. It was a wild exchange, a shootout against two unruly gangs.”

He has become the type of reporter who seemingly inserts himself into dangerous situations and then becomes a “hero” for reporting the news no one else is silly enough to cover (for good reasons). There are also some politicians who will show up at every news event to get on camera whether or not they have a reason to be there.

I agree with #2 . Geraldo purposely injects himself into these types of risky situations for the ratings. He is not a mentch, since according to Halacha, one is not supposed to expose himself to this kind of danger. His Mother was Jewish, and he still considers himself Jewish.
He needs to retire already.
Geraldo Rivera, is Jewish by the way. His mother was Jewish. His current wife is also Jewish. I know he has at least one child. I think he got married in a Synagogue -not Orthodox.

It’s the Mustache! It has nothing to do with the fact that Rivera has ALWAYS stuck his face where it didn’t belong, he did it with EVERY war he has ever covered, any tornado, racial riot, Willowbrook Developmental Center, Presidential campaign, sit-in , walk-out, protest, police action etc. He becomes Jewish, Italian, Hispanic, White, Greek, Native American, even becomes intouch with his “femanine” side when he needs to! BUT he always does it with THE Mustache…take that away and he has nothing!
