    Following in the footsteps of his illustrious father, Rabbi Irving Bunim, Reb Amos was heavily committed to Klal work. Reb Amos had a very close relationship with Rav Aharon Kotler zatzal, Reb Shneur Kotler zatzal . On many occasions, Reb Amos was sent to Washington on shlichus for Rav Aharon or Rav Moshe.

    Rabbi Amos Bunim is the author of “A Fire in His Soul,” a biography about his father.

    Please learn and be Mispallel for him, Manos Ben Bluma Hencha. Rabbi Bunim was a pioneer in the establishment of many Torah mosdos. He has played a remarkable role in the promotion of Torah Judaism in this country and in Eretz Yisroel for over seven decades.

    The Bunim family also were among the major supporters of the young israel movement and its growth in the 1940s and 1950s …..Irving Bunim was the father-in-law of Rav Shulem Rubin of the Young Israel of Pehlham Parkway for over 30 years and who later became the first head of Kashruth of the New York State Deparement of Consumer Affairs.

    Irving Buinim was a true hero and builder of yiddishkeit in this country (see the biography by his son.) His son has carriedon his work.
    May he have a speedy refuah shelemah.

    I live in Yerushalyim, several blocks from the Kosel. I have said Tehillim, Kuf”Lamed for him, hoping that the special closeness of Hashem to Yerushalayim, will help he who was so especially close to Hashem. May he have a Refuah Shleima amongst all the other ill in Klall Yisroel.
