Entertainment Properties Trust has been eyeing 400 acres of the 1,500 that it owns, Thompson Supervisor Tony Cellini said Monday.

Cellini said executives have done flyovers to survey the property. He has met with executives and discussed their ideas.

“Entertainment Property Trust owns all the properties – they took all the properties back from [Louis] Cappelli that they were holding the mortgage, except for the present site where the hotel was and across the street where he was going to propose to build a harness track and the other 1,500 acres they own,” he said. “They are talking about putting a theme park in plus some other things.”

Entertainment Property Trust, based in Kansas City, MO, develops ski areas, movie theaters, charter schools and other projects.

This would be a much better option for the heimeshe families that go to the mountains in the summer than the casinos they had been talking about. It may provide good job opportunities for the boys and girls and a badly needed enterntainment option for families, especially for motzi shabbos when there is really nothing to do now other than the kosher pizza and the Walmart.

    Ever heard of family games?
    Sports?
    Swimming?
What the heck are bungalow colonies for?
No wonder families are falling apart; everyone needs constant external stimulation and runs out of the house.
Play some pictionary, boggle, a million other games.
