The U.S. Attorney’s office in Cedar Rapids said Wednesday that Hosam Amara was arrested March 31 by Israeli authorities acting on a U.S. request for extradition. A statement from the office said he is in custody pending extradition proceedings in Israel, with a hearing scheduled for May 2.

A superseding indictment in 2009 charged Amara with several counts related to harboring undocumented workers for profit and document fraud for his role as a poultry manager at Agriprocessors Inc. The meatpacking company filed bankruptcy in November 2008 after a massive immigration raid at its Postville plant.

Hopefully, he will be quickly extradited by EY and returned to stand trial in the U.S. As we have seen, there is growing suspicion that yidden cannot be trusted to be released on bail because they will run away to EY. As a result, many yidden are being held on high bail because of the actions of a few dreche like Amara who fled the country. He should be tried in court here and if the facts support the charges, he should be convicted and sentenced to prison.

What about Col. Aviem Sella, who was indicted by a Federal Grand Jury? He was one of Jonathan Pollard’s handlers. However, he acted like a coward, and fled the USA. If he would have surrendered initially, the authorities might not have been so harsh on Pollard. However, the Israelis have refused to turn him over for over a quarter of a century, and even named an air force base after him. A shanda!

He is an Arab citizen of the state of Israel and just returned to his country of citizenship. Nothing to do with Yidden running from the law.

02:11 PM – your obviously not following the Rubashkin case. Yes all these cases show facts of wrongdoing – but they are magnifying the crimes to ridiculous proportion. DO you have a “goyta” – do you think you should sit in jail for 20 years for harboring a illlegal worker? or not paying employee taxes on her?

    Response to #2 :
    1) in the US there is a concept of “Innocent until proven guilty!” (except when it applies to Yidden).
    2) A Yid has a “Chezkat Kashrus!”
    3) So, before you call another Yid “dreche,” please look in the mirror first! Jews in the “Goldeneh Medineh” are NOT given stiffer and harsher sentences because they run away to EY, but are dealt with in such a manner to remind all who are too “comfortable” in America, that Yidden are Still in Golus!!

Why did Rubashkin hire him for?
