Brussels – A group of international negotiators says the Palestinian Authority has built the capabilities needed to run a country.

The Ad Hoc Liaison Committee, which met Wednesday in Brussels, cited reports from the World Bank, the United Nations and the International Monetary Fund saying the Palestinian Authority is “above the threshold for a functioning state in the key sectors they studied.”
The positive assessment comes despite the fact that Gaza, part of any future state, is controlled by rival Palestinian faction Hamas which several countries, including the United States, EU and Israel, consider a terrorist group.
Members of the committee, including Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, said they hoped that the political process of trying to achieve peace would now match the success of the Palestinian institution-building.
I guess handing out candies and cakes when a suicide bomber kills innocent Israeli civilians is a sign that they’re ready to have a state of their own??
This is another step into the creation of the biggest trap in the world. By supporting a palestinian state, the nations of the world are putting themselves against the wall, not Israel. When the time of the geulah comes, they will have a hard time “letting us go” or have Israel, which will allow Hashem to bring in some surprises again….

How can they say they’re “ready” for statehood when the PA is powerless, runs a mafia like Mubarak, Saleh and Qaddafi, has no support of the people, is fighting with Hamas, and has no money or other requirements of a state?? It has no land and is occupied by the State of Israel just like in 1967, with Abbas ready to resign every Monday and Thursday. What kind of nonsense is this??
The sooner Israel ends its occupation of Palestinians the better. There is no other option.
Actually the West Bank under Fayyad probably is able to be a real state at peace with Israel. Gaza under Hamas is a completely different story.
The Palestinian’s are a long way off from remotely becoming a functioning state.

Arabs have been in the land of Israel for over a thousand years. They are hardly colonists.
