The massive NYPD ticket-fixing investigation has uncovered evidence of far more serious crimes, with cops allegedly making potential felonies go away for fellow officers, it was revealed yesterday.

Some officers also tried to erase other cops’ drunken-driving arrests.

Years ago, in order to get appointed to the NYCPD force, if one had one or more parking tickets on their record, they had to account for those. However, in recent years, ex-cons have been hired. Therefore, why should anyone be surprised at this latest outrage?

The NYPD has been riddled with corruption since it’s inception more than 150 years ago. Some times its very bad, sometimes it improves, but there have always been instances of bribery, drunkeness, and impaired integrity throughout it’s history. Nothing new here.
