Twenty co-workers at a Costco store in Melville, N.Y., shared the winning Powerball lottery ticket, earning them a $201.9 million jackpot, a store spokeswoman confirmed to ABC News.

The drawing was announced on Wednesday. No word yet on the identities of the employees, but the spokeswoman said they would likely announce who they are together.

The Quick-Pick ticket was purchased at the Maulik & Chandni stationery store in Lindenhurst, Long Island in New York. It matched all five numbers plus the Powerball to claim the grand prize.

The winning combination for this lottery was 8, 18, 38, 46 and 56, and the winning Powerball number was 31. Carolyn Hapeman, a spokeswoman for the New York State Lottery, said the date the ticket was sold will remain secret until the winners are identified.

If they take it as a lump sum, after taxes they will have about 100 million left. Divide that by 20 people and you get 5 million each. Even though that is a very nice amount; if you are young you can’t retire. Neither can you go out and buy a multi million dollar home. You will run out of money in 10 years. Use it to improve and enhance your life but don’t go crazy like many lottery winners who have lost it all.
